Guanajuato International Film Festival, is an annual international film festival, held since 1998 during the final week of July in the cities of San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico.

It offered Mina an artist residency to work on his upcoming feature "I am A Script Girl". 

The Global Media Makers Summit was a partnership with the US Embassy in Cairo and Film Independent, organized under the umbrella of the Cairo Industry Days, a platform that was newly launched to support Arab cinema. The two-day summit, which took place November 28-29 last year, brought together 22 GMM Fellows from eight of the nine GMM countries.  

The International Documentary Film Festival OFF CINEMA at ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań. It is the Festival’s foremost aim to present a comprehensive review of achievements in the field of documentary film. IDFF OFF CINEMA presents documentaries in the international competition section.  

I am A Script Girl has won two awards at Cinegouna springboard platform. The feature documentary won the American Embassy award 10,000$ and in-kind awards from The Cell Production with total 10,000$. 

Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the LA Film Festival, selected Mina among 9 filmmakers and six projects selected for its 2018 Documentary Lab. The Lab is an intensive five-week program designed to help filmmakers who are currently in post-production on their feature-length documentary films.
